Alcohol Content 5.4%
Colour (EBC) 170
Bitterness (IBU) 54
Volume 18L
Difficulty Easy

Ingredients

1 x 1.7kg Coopers Stout
1 x 1kg Coopers Brew Enhancer 3
1 x 250g Coopers Carbonation Drops

1. Mix

In a sanitised fermenting vessel, dissolve Coopers Stout and Brew Enhancer 3 in 2 litres of hot water.
Fill fermenting vessel with cool water to the 18 litre mark and stir.
Sprinkle Stout yeast over surface and fit the lid.

2. Brew

Ferment temperature should be in range of 21C - 27C.
Fermentation has finished once the specific gravity is stable over 2 days.
Expected final gravity readings should be around 1014.

3. Bottle

Gently fill clean PET bottles to about 3cm from the top.
Add 2 carbonation drops per bottle and secure the caps.
Store the bottles upright in a location out of direct sunlight at or above 18C.

4. Enjoy

After at least two weeks, check for sufficient carbonation by squeezing the PET bottles.
Naturally conditioned Stouts, being higher in alcohol and fuller of body, benefit from extended
conditioning at or above 18C.
The coffee, chocolate and licorice aromas that can be associated with Stout are more pronounced if
the brew is served less chilled.
When ready to drink, chill the bottles upright.
The chilled beer may be poured into clean glassware, leaving the sediment behind.
Expect the alcohol content to be approximately 5.4% ABV.
